ibVPN Supports SSTP in US and UK

ibVPN recently added support for SSTP connections.  The SSTP protocol is available in most of their packages but not all of them.  If you’d like to take advantage of SSTP then shy away from their EU and Torrent plans.  We tested connections to both the US (Wilmington) and UK (Manchester) using Windows 7.  The two locations currently available for SSTP.  Those new to the service can test with their 2 hour free ibVPN trial.

You can access ibVPN via OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP or SSTP using their all-in-one VPN application.  Launch the client to select from a list of the four protocols.  Then ibVPN presents you with a list of supported VPN servers.  In the case of SSTP the available servers include Wilmington in the United States and Manchester in the United Kingdom.  Here’s a screenshot of the new 1.1.1 version of the ibVPN software.

Congratulations to the ibVPN team as they continue to build their network and expand the VPN client with innovations like the addition of SSTP support.  We look forward to following their continued efforts.
