Develop For Privacy Challenge : Protect Mobile Devices

The Develop For Privacy Challenge is all about securing mobile devices through the talents of new app development.  Are you a talented coder with an interest in privacy and security?  Have you perhaps developed an app that could help secure personal information on smartphones and other mobile devices?  If so join the Develop For Privacy Challenge.  The entry deadline is June 10, 2011.  You can submit your app here.

The Develop For Privacy Challenge is backed by some great groups.  Having been organized by the ACLU of Northern California / Washington and the Tor Project.  With judges from Microsoft, T-Mobile, Berkeley and the University of Washington, the group has the resources to help with distribution and promotion.  The winning entry will be presented at an award ceremony in Las Vegas this August.  Coinciding with the Black Hat and DEFCON security conferences.  The winner will have an opportunity to discuss their app with the judges and audience members.  Visit the Develop 4 Privacy website for more details and to enter your app.
